Ed Molinski was a late entry into the Hall of Fame, entering the hallowed halls fifty years after his graduation. Only Eugene Dougherty took longer; he spent 60 years between last snap and entry. Molinski had the pleasure and honor of playing high school ball for Paul Brown before going to UT to play for General Neyland. He and Bob Suffridge formed a formidable and dangerous duo at guard for the Volunteers from 1938-1940. Molinski furthered his athletic career by leading the boxing team as captain and becoming Tennessee’s heavyweight boxing title. Molinski earned First Team All-American honors in both 1939 and 1940.
